Finish vs finished?
is "finished" considered correct considering that means has already been completed (finish)


i have always used finished but i was wondering...
any thoughts...

finish is present or future tense
finished is past tense

Examples: I will finish that shortly.
I finished that already.

Finish can be a noun... as in arrive at the finish (line).

finish can also be a verb, in which case finished is the past participle or past tense.

Yes, I finished my dinner.- past tense.
