Lumineers are glued onto your present teeth with a curing light. Veneers are like caps on your teeth. If you get veneers you have to get enamel shaved off, and it can be quite painful. Lumineers are painless. Both can be pricey, however.

Im not sure about the price for lumineers but veneers depending on the office and the lab the office uses can be somewhere between 750-1200 dollars or aound there. Lumineers go directly over your teeth no painful office visit or anything. Veneers the dr will "shave" off the front portion of your teeth and you have to sit through an hour or two of preping. The Lumineers are basically you go in the dr makes a mold of your teeth then youre done. However both procedures need two visits one for the prepping or impressions and the second to have them put on. I personally prefer lumineers.

Lumineers are a thin porcelain covering that fits “over” your present teeth. Most dentist who use them do not reduce your teeth. This more often than not makes the Lumineers look “fat” on your teeth and have a fake appearance. Think of it this way. Is there a difference in the thickness of a single meat paddy hamburger and a double meat paddy hamburger? Can you tell the difference between the two by looking? If you put Lumineers over natural teeth, you have a “double meat paddy”.

i think of lumineers are basically a form call. they are basically for attractiveness dentistry. cover imperfections. like little faux tooth that go over your real tooth to lead them to seem straighter, whiter so on.
