I had my stupid "first communion" when I was in 2nd grade or whenever that was, but now my mom wants me to have my "confirmation" or whatever it is called. the problem is, I am atheist now, and she doesn't know it. I don't want to tell her because it will make her mad and then I'll have to deal with her crap. I also really don't want to have my confirmation. I don't want to dress up in a white suit again and do hell knows what for christianity. What should I do?

It would help if I knew what a confirmation was.

It is very understandable that you have become an atheist after going through the rituals of the Catholic church, I have seen it many times. These rituals are a good form of worship for some people, but not most. The best for of worship can be to simply look up and say "thanks".
Just remember, that the religion is not about rituals, but a living relationship with God. Jesus said "whatever you ask in my name will be given to you" (the book of John). I challenge you to test this out. In fact, ask God the very question you are asking us.
If you get an answer, get a bible (preferably one easy to ready such as "the message" or NIV, and come to your own conculsions, you will find that the rituals of the catholic church (though a good form of worship for some) are not at a biblical. For example, the bible says to confess you sins directly to God, not to a priest. In fact, if you truly come to believe in God, the bible says You are a Priest!!! with all powers therein....
So have fun with it!!! Jesus came to bring a life of abundance (book of John) not a life of boring church services. Anyway, don't give up on God now... You may need him someday.
Edit: Confirmation is basically a contract between you and the church saying that you will go to church. It really has nothing to do with your relatinship with God. Unlike a water baptism, which is biblical.

Well, this is just my advice. I think it would be best to tell your mom your beliefs. It will be hard in the beginning, but if you want to stop doing religious activities then do it.
On the other hand, if you really don't want to tell your mom then don't. It won't hurt you to have a confirmation. I used to be forced to go to church when I was young by my mom, grandmother and an aunt of mine and I was a atheist. It didn't kill me.
One more thing. Remember your mom only wants best for you. To her it is very important. Try to be an adult about it and view it from her side.

you can try talking to her and telling her that these are pagan rituals and these sacraments are not even mentioned in the bible. I had to go through this with my mom. I did not even have my baby baptized and now my mom is not talking to me. Makes no sense to dress him up in a white outfit with a party and a cake to go stand in church and say things that I don't believe. I do not believe a baby goes to hell if not baptized which is what my mom believes. It is pure nonsense. Good luck.

Just go through the motions and make the parents happy... it's what I did in my First Holy Communion. You're living under their roof, so you should try to get along and obey as best as you can... what's in your own mind they can't change, and you'll be old enough to make your own choices soon. Keep studying, learn from everything and best wishes to you.

My advice is go through the motions for your mom. It means nothing to you, but it means a lot to her. Later on when you're older there will be time to talk about your atheism. Moms are worth a little anguish. They love us a lot, even though they often don't understand us.

You have to tell her. Tell her she can make you do since she's your mom and you respect her a lot, but that it would simply be an act because you don't believe and you hope she'll respect your opinion.

Have in intelligent conversation with your mother about your beliefs and how you would like to make your own choice regarding religion.

how old are you? do you live at home? if your'e old enough to move out then go. if not, then do what she asks. its her house and she doesnt want athiests messing with her faith. maybe she loves you and doesnt want you to go to hell. even if you dont believe, she does. do it for her peace of mind. athiests always seem to brag about their athiesm.
