For the last 24 hours my husband has felt lightheaded and dizzy and he keeps saying he doesn't feel like himself, he also says he is extremeley bodily fatigued. I thought he was maybe dehydrated, but his mouth is not dry and there is no vomiting or diarhea and he drank nothing but water for the last 24 hours and lots of it. Any ideas, we don't have insurance so I don't know if we should head to the ER or what.

The problem here is these symptoms could be due to a long list of possible causes, most likely neurological or cardiovascular & some mild, some potentailly serious. I will not begin to real off the list of possibilities as it is endless, i would advise that if he is claiming also he doesn't feel like himself, you go to ER. Good luck

Just a thought: not eating for 24 hours will make you lightheaded, dizzy, and fatigued. Try feeding him a little bit of something.

Perhaps he is coming down with a flu or cold. A couple days before it manifests, you just feel generally crappy. Take his temperature. Could be a indicator of a flu or cold. If his temperature is really high (102 or so), that's a medical emergency.

If the dizziness and lightheadedness is bad enough that he is losing his balance, could be an inner ear prob (vertigo). If accompanied by headache, could be more serious. If any of these ring true, you should see a doc.

If "Luvnau" (answerer above) is correct, you can go to a pharmacy to get his blood pressure checked. Most pharmacy's have blood pressure machines these days.

you don't mention his age, weight height or any of a number of other things a professional needs to know to make any kind of guess at what is going on. If his symptoms have been going on for more than 48 hours, I would say go see a doctor.

Well he does need to be seen------most towns have a kind philanthropic minded Dr. that will see patients for little to no cost---if you cannot find one take him to the ER----don't want to scare you but it COULD possible be serious and you could become a widow if something isn't done fast.

Has he been tested for a blood sugar problem.

if he hasn't actually ate something, his blood sugar is probably low, give him something to eat and see if that helps.
