Usually very shortly after you eat the contaminated food. You get horrible cramps, vomit, and otherwise just feel nauseous and gross!!

Usually within 12-24 hours. Hope you just have a bug of some kind; food poisoning is horrific.

Usually within the first 4- 48 hours, if you don't being to have symptoms within the first 12 hours it is unlikely you will have food poisoning

It depends on what causes the food poisoning. Botulism can strike within a matter of a few hours, while other types can take a few days.

I have heard this from a friend whose mom was a nurse...if you have food poisoning, you will get sick within two hours of eating the bad food. If it's longer than that, you probably don't have food poisoning.

Usually it hits you right away. I not it can range from 2-6 hours. But don't worry it doesn't last long if you vomit. Just try to drink ginger ale and eat soups (preferably chicken noodle) for a few days. hopefully you dont have food poisining! It's the worst! I speak forom experience. Hope you feel better though. :)

Staph toxin almost immediately. Salmonella and Shigella may wait 12 hours or so.
