i have 2 cats that are both males.
brothers to be exact.
but lately one of them has been making these weird noises and trying to get on the back of the other cat.
The one tries to bite the other ones neck and "mount" him.
and the other one could care less...he just sits there or sometimes he will "fight" the other one who is trying to do this.
I am absolutely sure that they are both young adult male cats.
what is up with the cat that keeps trying to do this?
is there anything I can do to make him stop or what?

Get him fixed. Actually, get both of them fixed. Males will mount even other males out of boredom or as a gesture of dominance; it's uncommon in cats but not unknown. Both are likely to start spraying, and once established both the odor and the habit are hard to eradicate.

Most animals try these kind of actions. Dogs can also try such things. I read in a forum that male birds have an inclination to do so if there is no female present. Being young adults they will be more interested in having some intimacy with female cats. I would suggest you drop them by to a friends house with a pretty cat that would maybe like babies?

Get them neutered. Gayness does show up in cats but normally this behavior is from the need to dominate and also from a need to have overall control in any enviroment. It shows who has authoirty and it reminds me of a cartoon I read once. Before getting fixed amale cat thinks about female cats. After getting fixed the male cat thinks about food. Once they are fixed the attention will turn elsewhere, Trust me.

He is just Ummm okay he is horny the poor dude. Next he will start spraying your stuff and marking his territory. The best thing and maybe the only thing is to get him neutered.
Animal Behaviour is animal behaviour.

I suggest you call your vet and get a appointment to have them neutered/fixed, if they aren't already. It's better for there health if they are neutered. Unless you want kittens don't get a female.

You have never been to the vet?

They need to be neutered in order to stop this behavior.
