A friend's ex-husband has a felony arrest warrant. He hasn't been arrested yet, but he has a hearing set for a bail reduction. She wants to know if he can be arrested when he shows up for the bail reduction hearing. (She wants him to be arrested. He was anticipating the arrest warrant, so he saw on a state website that the warrant had been issued and filed the motion for a bail reduction without having turned himself in.)

the answer is yes. but the best thing is to show up and get it over with. a warrent will not just disappear, specially if u don't show up.
the longer it takes usually the worst it becomes.

How did he get to the bail reduction hearing without getting arrested first? Else, how much crap does this idiot get into. Yes, if he has an outstanding warrant then he can be arrested. The clerk of court however probably does not run criminal checks on everyone coming in to court to see if they have other warrants. He may just show up and take care of the bail hearing and then walk out with no one the wiser.
If you want to you can call the police and tell them the date and time of the hearing so that they come pick him up. Bring your cell phone camera, tape it, and post it to youtube.

Yes he can. Also, if he chooses not to show up for a court date that he has to attend, another warrant will be signed out for him. With a felony arrest warrant being issued, he will be arrested as soon as the law enforcement officials catch up to him. If he has a P.O. and shows up to check in, then he could be arrested at that time. He could also be arrested if he has a bail bondsman and he goes in to see him. If he gets stopped for running a stop sign he could be arrested.
How is he out on bail with a felony warrant issued on him? If your friend finds out where he is she could turn him in. I would.
Good Luck.

Without a doubt! An arrest warrant remains in effect until it is satisfied or "executed" . Every time you show up for a Hearing the Court Clerk runs the Defendant through N.C.I.C. National Criminal Information Center, and if you have a warrant, when the docket is called you WILL be taken into custody.
GOD BLESS/GOOD LUCK!!

I had a friend who got arrested while visiting one of my other friends in jail because he had a warrant on him, so i would think you'd get arrested at a court house too, but i'm not to sure on that.
