when a guy ur good friends with,gives u all the attention and flirts with u and hits and pinches u all the time. random hugs and cuddles and plays with ur hair but at the same time take the piss out of u...he doesnt like it when i ignore him he gets all hot and bothered about it. i joke sometime and say u fancy me really dont you? and he's like PSSSSSSSSSH dont be silly or in ur dreams and and when he aks me the same question i always reply in the same manner...everyone round us think we got the hots for each other.

What it means is simple: you both would rather play games and pretend that there is no emotional involvement so that neither of you can get hurt.
The problem with this situation is that it is not real, it is just part of the games. Human relationships are built on open and honest communication. If you have to pretend and hide your emotions from each other then either you are not ready for a close relationship or at least not one with each other.
If you feel something and do not express it, then you are only hiding the truth from yourself (and each other).
