I have had a crush on a friend of mine for a long time. Today we had the oppertunity to go out to lunch, so I asked if he wanted to do something together (as friends). He said sure: he picked the restaurant, and he drove the car. Now, here's the thing. We get to the restaurant, we order, and as I have a $20 in my hand to pay for my lunch, he hands the cashier the money and just smiles at me! I said I would pay him back, but he told me that I wouldn't.

It doesn't mean anything other than he is courteous. Guys usually pick up the bill. My best guy friend and I have been hanging out for about 8 years, and I've only paid for him once. Its just the way he was raised.

Stop over analyzing things! If he ask you to go out again deal with it then, don't make a big deal out of what might of been just a simple friendly gesture!

He is being a true gentleman. His mother brought him up right. Be thankful that he is sweet. Most men would not do that. You have a wonderful friend. Do not loose him.
