hi, we fancy going out for day next week, we live in nottinghamshire and will travel for upto 2hrs, also want to take our dog with us, we would like to make a full day of it.
has anyone got any good ideas, would be very gratefull as our minds have gone blank.

Find a place to pull over and go for a short walk always keeping an eye on the kids and the car, take a picnic lunch and enjoy.

Rutland waters is a good day out, you can take your dog, hire bikes and if the weathers nice why not take a picnic, or if your feeling flushed, grab a meal there.

Iron bridge in Shropshire is good and your not far away from shrewsbury and the wrekin. go to the Shropshire website and you will find loads of places to visit, have a nice time where ever you go !

you cant beat skegness and the beaches nearby like chapel st lenards and mogs eye are dog friendly.
