That's all I know. Apparently the babies are not related to the older 1 year old.

It depends on the bird. Quakers are very territorial and protect their 'home' at all costs. I would not advise anyone to put 2 babies into a cage that belonged to an older quaker. First what he needs to do is see if they are going to get along. Put the cages side by side for about a month and see how the do. If they seem like they're going to get along start letting them out together for supervised play sessions. If that works then I would get a brand new cage that didn't belong to any of them and put them in it. that way they are all on even pecking ground and no one owns anything.

I wouldnt do it. It really depends on how nice or mean your older quaker is and how protective over its cage it is or not. I have a quaker right now who all it wants to do is pick on me and bite me. So I would never place another quaker in with that bird. But on the other hand I have a quaker who I can place anyone with. So it depends on how nice your older quaker is, sometimes its ok if they have been housed beside each other for a few months. But if you place them together nice or not always supervise the first few hours to make sure they will get along. A mean quaker will make it known by almost running across the cage to hurt the other one. Make sure if you place them together you can get to the one being attacked very quickly otherwise a bird injurered by another can die very quickly. If you have any ill feelings about it at all, DON'T DO IT! GOOD LUCK!
