Example: I'm sending a link to a client and its very log. I want to relabel it to something much shorter. I know I did it one time, but now I can't remember how to do it.

This is how I do it (Using MS Outlook 2000):

1) Create a new (blank) message.
2) Go to Format, and make sure you choose HTML as the format for the email.
3) Type your email. In the place where you want to create the abbreviated (short) link, type something like "click here".
4) Highlight the words you just chose (the "click here", or whatever).
5) Go to Insert, and choose Hyperlink
6) In the hyperlink window, paste the complete url.
7) Click OK
8) When you get back to the email, the words should now appear as a hyperlink. Voila!

Finish the email, and send it! (You might want to test it by sending a copy to yourself).

Hope this helps!
