i have been talking to this guy for about 3 months and we are finally goin out. he's like the popular guy in school and me, i'm not a nerd but im far from being popular. my question is, why is he goin out wit me when he has like hundreds of girls to choose from? what makes me so special? is he jus using me because im shy and he knows i can never find another guy or do u think he really likes me? p.s: he tells me he loves me all the time but his actions dont convince me

I was the biggest geek in school and this popular guy liked me a bunch. We dated for almost 4 years and have been married for 8 years in July. We've got a daughter and twins on the way. He might genuinely like you. You need to ask yourself this: Is he a nice guy to everyone? Is he a jerk to people? You need to see how he treats other people(not just popular ones). I mean, he could be using you, but the using thing isn't limited to popular people. Any guy could do that to you no matter whether they are popular or not. Just be careful, and see where it goes. If in fact he is using you and ends up hurting you, just remember that he is a terrible person and doesn't deserve someone like you.

Just cuz a guy is popular doesn't mean he's not a good guy, maybe he sees past the outside? Maybe he really does like you! You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Just cuz you're not the most popular girl doesn't mean a thing. The popular ones from my high school are all still going to the same dive bar, have lame jobs, they got fat & wrinkley. But the less popular ones are for the most part doing really well, wall street traders, actors & actresses, teachers, etc.

Well first of all if he can have any girl he wants, its something about you that he likes. Sometimes just because people can have 20 people to date, its that special 1 person that catches their eye. So he likes you im sure especially if hes a jock and they have reputations and hes with you...he likes you. Lastly he shouldnt be using the word love if he doesnt mean it, maybe he likes you a whole lot, but love is a strong word, and a strong feeling, real love you will know it...but it sounds to me that he really likes you...but as far as the love thing he should stop it now ...I would ask him why he loves you, and if its real his answer would be real and honest....

Well maybe your more popular than you think, or maybe this guy just isnt as shallow as most popular kids and actually sees through the 'social hierarchy'. As to the second part he may love you, but he may just be trying to get into your pants so be careful with that one! Someone who loves you will want to be with you all the time and will always put you first, so if its too soon and hes scaring you off just let him know!

Just be careful what you give up! If you have already given it up, back up and be stingy with it! If he acts funny then you know how he feels! You could just be a booty call. Don't be hurt by it, just let it go and make him want you!! You don't have to be popular to be pretty. I'm sure there are some girls at your school who are popular but are far from pretty. Time will tell honey! If he acts funny then its his lost not yours!

hmmm sounds like you are seeing red flags here. How does he treat you in public? Is he showing you off as his gf or ignores you when others are around? Also says he loves you and you all are just now going out? hmmmm...
and um, I'd watch how aggressive he is sexually. If he's trying to jump on it right away, you got your answer. Remember to respect yourself more than anyone else, and trust your judgement as well... If he loves you, you should be getting treated like a queen, not a playtoy... Good luck, and honestly, consider having a friend dbl with you all, just to be on the safe side....

I would be very suspicious. Maybe he just thinks you will give in to sex with him. A sign is his telling you verbally about love without expressing it in action. Plus he probably knows that you are a virgin so he wants to have sex with a virgin for a challenge. It is a game. I would walk away before you get hurt.

trust me, I've been in that situation before...It's most likely he really likes you. Most popular guys would never go out with an unpopular girl unless they really liked them...if it is a case where he doesn't like you, he probably just wants to see how far you'll go with them..if he's neither, he likes your butt.(guys at my school go crazy for butts)

Dont let him pressure you into anything. If he does love you than he wont try to make you do things that you dont want to do. I just hope that he isnt making moves on you to satisfy a conquest.
