It sounds exhausting, I know I did it for years, however all relationships take work, but they need to be rewarding and nurturing too. If the reasons you keep breaking up are due to the kinks in the path of your own individual self discoveries, which might not always jive with someone Else's beliefs, personalities or existence, but the reasons you get back together are because you want to support that growth and change in each other and work through your own limitations together, then it's love. It's worth the effort! BUT...
If you are playing games and getting back together because someone won the moral superiority contest or manipulated the other one into feeling bad, then I'd say RUN. The most important part of a long term relationship is being honest with each other and enjoying the others strength's and weaknesses. If you're always fighting or making the other person feel bad, it's probably time to take some time out and figure out exactly what you want, how you want to be treated and what your expectations are from any relationship. Don't compromise those things for someone else, it's just makes it harder to let go later and causes you doubt all the wonderful things you actually deserve out of life. To be happy and feel loved and supported in any relationship. I hope this helps.
