what are the reasons guys do not want to have a relationship with a girl?

say you are physically attracted to a girl. in fact you may have even hookedup with her.
you get along with her pretty well too.
she has told you that she likes you a lot.
you continue hooking up with her knowing this, in fact, it is knowing this which makes you certain you are gonna get some (until she has secretly decided to put an end to that...you just aren't aware of that yet)....
why do you not want a relationship with her?
is it her?
is it you?
is it just a bad situation? (her friends hate you, your friends hate her for example)
why?
if you like someone, why don't you want to even TRY a relationship? you don't even want to TRY it.
why?

They actually aren't a man
They can't do it and so they're afraid of a relationship (a.k.a small sausage)
They don't have emotions (most guys aren't emo if you get my jist)
They they think you're ugly (and if the guy isn't too shallow, he'll think you're ugly on the inside, not the outside)

Hey, whoever this is...this is an excellent question. This actually touches right to home on my current situation. Anyhow, I will help you out here. Guys are funny....one minute they pursue you relentlessly and then when they get real close knowing that you like them so much that you're gonna burst, they back off. Grrrr, I could scream. Anyhow, depending on the age and other factors that may be impacting their decision at the time, they do crazy things. One would think that knowing enough about a person and also knowing that the person responds with the same affection that it would be enough to do the trick. I guess it's not so!!! I also find too that some guys have a lot of guy friends and they chat with them on MSN and I also think too that they may be straddling between the boundries of being straight and gay and to commit to a woman means they may feel guilty when they go off to be with their guy friend. So many variables here my friend to understand this corrupt species of the human race. Good luck on your endeavors.

I think the real question is, "Why are you 'Hooking Up' with someone that doesn't want a relationship with you? Where is your self-respect." It may be old-fashioned, but the simple fact remains that nobody is going to go through the hassle of working on a relationship when their needs are being met without the work. Is this a sad commentary on the world today, perhaps. Times change, but people don't. So if you want a relationship, go find one of the really nice guys out there who also want a relationship, and let this joker go find someone else for a booty-call. You deserve better.
