This girl used to be flirty with me, and I finally asked her to prom, and she said yes. Since then, I've barely even talked with her, and she's normal around everybody else except me, just not talking to me at all (or rarely). I send her messages, and it takes her longer to respond. She says she's busy, but she acts the same way in person. What's going on here? :)

Ok, when I say she talks to me rarely, I mean like she doesn't ignore me fully, she just doesn't chat nearly as much as she used to. When I asked her to prom, she seemed pretty happy about it, and about a week later I asked her about prom stuff and she said we'd talk about it later (and she was busy, etc.). She's shy and down to earth, but I don't think someone who would play games with me. I think I'm probably going to give it another week or so, and if she's still the same way, ask her what's going on, that she's been acting weird lately, and if there's something that's bothering her. If she says nothing, then I have nothing to worry about?

Lets see...she could be one of the types that likes the thrill of the hunt. She was all flirty, then once you asked her out she lost interest. OR she could have a friend (or two) that is giving her a hard time for saying yes to you? Which is making her act different? You should ask her straight out...and if she won't be honest perhaps you should find someone else to ask out.

Who wants to play games with a gal like that? Since she rarely speaks to you, send her a "message" telling her that since she isn't talking to you, there's no sense in going to the prom together & tell her NOT to bother with a reply because you're busy.Find someone else to take to the prom.

You need to make sure, she has not double crossed you and you will end up alone at your prom. Walk up to her and ask her if she wants out of the prom date, while there still is time to ask another girl. Talk to her, communicate, it's the only way.

She could be nervous, or actually legitimately busy. I don't know where your school schedule is, but I'm at midterms right now and I am about to go crazy...give her a little bit more time and see what the deal is. She might be stressed out...or who knows...PMSing...she's a girl, after all.

maybe someone else asked her to the prom and she just is ignoring you hoping you will find someone else to go with. Thats what i believe.

Maybe she said yes because she felt that she had too. And now she may be interested in another and that may be why she will not talk to you. She may not know how to tell you that.

Prepare yourself for the worst case scenario. Some other guy that she likes better has asked her also. She is trying to figure out how and when to tell you.

She's probably just immature. Many teenage girls act that way. Either that or you were a challenge to her and now that she got what she wanted, you no longer present a challenge.

Ask her quick if she was sincere about wanting to go, because if she's not then you need time to ask someone else. Then her real intentions will surface whether she wants to go or not.
