ppl of african descent have more melanin and most ppl don't take good care of their skin, don't protect their skin from the sun properly even when they use sunscreen so the darker you are the less you will age compared to others who are under similar conditions. sure genetics play a role when it comes to aging but it's mainly the sun that causes all these wrinkles, so dark skin or light skin use sunscreen all the time , the lighter your skin the more careful you should be. avoid smoking , always exercise , drink lots of water and eat healthy food.
get enough sleep and try to keep your weight within a healthy range as well as avoid fad diets. never ever tan unless the color comes from a bottle or compact, the sun will only kill your beauty.
this will give you youthful skin that all will envy when you're way way older even if you are fair skinned

Wow. Some answers are great while others bomb. Take "**you's" answer for example. Better texture? she definitely doesn't sound racist. I'd like to point out while I believe in the more pigmentation and skin that absorbs less uv rays - which I agree, really kills beautiful skin, I have also seen a lot more people of African American descent with stretch marks. And briefly thought about if this is race related or not. But this is why we can't generalize. It all depends on family genetics, life style and yes, how well you take care of yourself and think that for the most part, although race may have something to do with it, you can't be so simpleminded as to say what you said. Anybody can be "beautiful just the way they are" not only african americans. And by the way, Shar Jackson just had multiple lipo surgery and had her jaw line reconstructed - just one example in the bunch. Which white people were you talking about anyway? The select few in hollywood? Paleezzz. Open up your mind.

I think we African people don't get wrinkles because we do grow differently. My mom is a white American and my dad is African. I got my mom's soft and long silky hair and I got my dad's skin color.
We also do have healthier beautiful skin! Oh and Tallyluver that was mean are you African American?! You can't say that about all African American people!

its not that they age different it's just that there skin seems to be more resistant to everyday life ...Like the sun pollution and such ... also I think that there skin is more thicker than say the whites...After the African American People I think the Mexicans are second on the list then the white ......

I know it's true! We have more melanin and pigmentation in our skin. It is not affected nearly as bad by the sun and other types of exposure as Caucasian people. Now just like every other race of people.. we do get wrinkles. Don't believe the hype! Some people take better care of their skin and it is less likely to be noticeable. If proper care is not taken on anyone's skin... it will crack and wrinkle.
Factor in your diet and skin type too. What you put in your mouth does affect your skin..definitely! I believe ALL people of ALL cultures and races are BEAUTIFUL Honeychild...

well...we do have more melanin in our skin (pigment that determines you color) which naturally gives us more protection from the sun....which increases the aging process...but most people age based on your genetic make up an how well you take care of your self (excerise, eating right, maintaining a healty diet..etc) but black does not crack...as easily

you're asking 2 questions the following. in case you hate someone from yet another race (inspite of 'race' potential - in my opinion i imagine that is an previous and offensive concept, on condition that there aren't any significant genetic adjustments between people from distinct ethnic backgrounds) and decide to 'take it out on' human beings from, allow's say, a similar ethnic historic past, then it truly is truthfully bigoted and racist behaviour. in case you call your pal names and he's taking it as exciting and calls you names back, and also you know he's joking, then it truly is no longer racist, because you both know that your friendship is more desirable than the call calling. perhaps you call one yet another by the names as a fashion of creating the names seem a lot less powerful - you opt for to trust that your friendship is more desirable than the ethnic adjustments between you. on your sakes, and for something human beings, I actually wish that it truly is. in case you and your mate are associates regardless of the actuality that you opt for to throw what might want to typically be considered abusive names at one yet another, sturdy for you. It shows that your friendship is extra authentic than the guy made and stupid societal divisions created by bigots with agendas to push.

It appears the women age well,
but the men I mean I have seen discolored colored men and I have also seen some of the skin that aged badly in men.
I have always wondered why that was but I have learned not to ask questions that may have me falsely labeled a racist.

I have seen black ppl with wrinkles. Most of thier faces I have noticed just sag, like they are melting. If you want an example, look at Oprah's face, and btw she looks terrible without her make up on.

Black skin is better at absorbing UV light--and it's that UV light that causes skin damage (ie, wrinkles).
