I'm sixteen, I've never had a boyfriend, have been kissed only once, and have never had anyone fancy me... ever.
I'm not hideously ugly - honestly, I'm a size 8/10 (English sizes... in American sizes that's 4/6) and people always tell me I'm really pretty... not my friends, strangers and stuff...
I don't think I'm gorgeous or anything, but I'm certainly passable looking, and I don't understand why no one likes me...
I am quite outspoken, but try to be polite and nice to people, I just don't understand it.
Am I just a freak destined to be alone forever or something?
It's really getting me down... has anyone else had the same sort of experience? Or is it just me?

NO! I know people in thir twenties that have never had a proper boyfriend! They were attractive and intelligent etc but quite fussy and never found the right bloke. these people went on to marry the man of their dreams!
Believe me, 16 is SO young and it's not weird at all not to have had a boyfriend. I was 18 I think.

You'll find someone. I never had a boyfriend until I was 17 when I was a Senior in high school!! I felt the same way, i was wondering when i was going to get a boyfriend at all!! But i acutally got set up on a date to the homecoming dance.!! Lets just say 2 yrs and 8 months later we were married!! Don't fret over it!! Some guy will come along and you will be his whole world!! Hope this helps!! Seriously I felt the same exact way you do!!

Haha, it somewhat is not extraordinary in any respect. My first boyfriend (and kiss!) did not ensue until i replaced into 18 and in college. I purely did not concentration on getting a boyfriend in intense college, simply by fact I had college to stress approximately and that i found out maximum men have been nonetheless very immature then. My acquaintances at school have been bowled over that I hadn't carried out something until then. I honestly do not think of I ignored out on something, and that i'm happy I waited until i replaced into wiser and mature sufficient to deal with a real dating.

No of course you wont be alone forever, and im sure your perfectly nice looking-but maybe you just havnt met anyone decent yet! I have a friend who is absolutely beautiful and shes 17 but has never been kissed or had a boyfriend! You never know, maybe your just so pretty guys are intimidated by you!

Don't worry about it!! Maybe it's a good thing you haven't had a boyfriend yet. If I were you I would try to stay away from guys as long as you can. But I definitely understand how you feel about feeling as tho nobody is interested. Stop thinking about it for a while and someone may come forth with their true feelings for you.

No, No selective is good. It's great that you feel self assured and don't have to latch on to the first man that looks your way. There are so many young women out there that have like three children by three different men, they are constantly trying to tie a man down. Thank God that you don't have that sort of mentality. don't worry ur still young just enjoy ur life and a boyfriend will come in time. i'm sure someone has fancied u b4, maybe they were shy, i dont no. ur not a freak, i didnt have a boyfriend until i was about 15 and that only lasted a week! then my next proper relationship was when i was about 18. so dont worry. x

It's not strange at all...
See it as being lucky, I know it may look like a lot fo fun, but relationships are hard work, and you're free to not deal with any of that.
The right young man will come by and you'll forgot that you were single at all...you're still young, and you want your relationships to mean something, not dating somebody for the sake of saying so.

Well, 16 is young to have a boyfriend, I didn't start dating till I was 18!
Things will work out well this way, at least you wont be 16 and pregnant! Study hard, and don't be too shy to ask a guy out or to say yes when he asks!

i'm the same age and i don't really date either, but a bunch of guys keep asking me out and i say no cuz i get scared and all. trust me it's not your looks, cuz you said you're pretty, but anyways that's never a problem cuz in my school you see a bunch of ugly chicks going out with these hot guys people tell me i'm pretty all the time, i guess you just haven't found the right guy that's worth you yet. don't worry there's someone out there for everyone.
