**************Not that I know of son. I don't think that is on anyone's list of why they have faith in God. Now...some people go to chruch's where a quite visable person bosses them around and that is a whole different thing*************************

No, we believe in GOD because it is the only true thing to do!!! We don't have low self esteem and don't need an invisible man, we know that our life will be alot better if we follow our GOD's plan for our life, and we will have alot more than most others won't. The only way to be truly happy is to have God in our life!!! To whomever said we needed an excuse to judge, that is not true. Not all Christians judge others, some do, and I don't know why, but that does not give you the right to stereotype all of us!

Where do you get these notions? First of all I don't have low self esteem. Just because you can't believe in God, why does that make me less intelligent or assertive as anyone else. That is nonsense. As far a God bossing me around, what folly. God has blessed me.

I envy you - what a latest. I guess it replaced into grown interior you by skill of your early existence because of the fact thats whilst our subconcious gets its programming. Dont get a huge head and experience better on account which you had no longer something to do with it - yet what a latest, the keys to existence. Re your question, I dont be attentive to. i think of somewhat some people who pass to Church be stricken by low self-worth and seek for help. yet thats become autonomous from the certainty or in any different case of God. intense self-worth or no longer, all of us had to return from someplace and to me certainty is almost a pitcher bowl overlaying us - it makes ideal experience till you get to the sides, then we cant comprehend. it is the place God is presented in, because of the fact in case you study the Bible with an exceedingly open concepts there is quite some piercing stuff on those themes. And God additionally says interior the Bible he has a love for the broken people (the persons with low self-worth) because of the fact the worldly ones 'already have their very own reward' (eg you, along with your stable self-worth discover the international smiles at you, loves you, and opens doors - no longer the journey for those like me with low self-worth). On 2d concepts maybe I shouldnt envy you because of the fact the Bible says 'it is extra easy for a wealthy guy to bypass interior the direction of the attention of a needle than it is for him to pass into heavan. To me that isnt asserting you cant have eternal existence, yet that its very complicated for you, with the worlds riches already located on your lap, to settle for God. stable self-worth or undesirable all of us finally end up ineffective, and then what.

Does a person need to ask "questions" that are really thinly veiled barbs aimed at others who believe differently than he does? And if he does...is it because the asker has low self-esteem and needs to engage in tearing down others in order to validate himself?

Just hypothetically, of course...

most people believe in god because they have went through a rough time in their life and believing in a big invisible father figure makes them feel better about it.also they don't have to feel the guilt of all the bad things they've done in their lives because god has forgiven them, therefore they nolonger have to answer for any wrong doings they might have done to others in their past

you pretty much have it right. any objective person goes through an existential crisis where they question why they exist, what the point is etc. if they are adults, they either suck it up and deal with life or they become religious because they can't find anything better to be.
unfortunately, most people are raised from birth to believe in god so they never even have the questions.

My self-esteem is just fine, and I don't "need" anyone to "boss me around."

So no.

Nice try though.
