perms on guys used to be in during the 80s and early 90s but right now you would stick out. Personally, I don't like the look but it can look okay on some people depending on your personality and what kind of style you have overall if you are into the 80s look and you feel that it is something you want to do and if you feel you can pull it off go for it, if you don't like it you could always get a hair cut.

NOOOOO! Please don't do it, you need to go to a professional, and I always do my own hair, but I have been doing it for twenty years now, and if you have never done it, it is NOT easy, do not do it yourself, at least have someone else that has experience apply it for you. It is really hard to apply a perm to your own head. By the way, do you just like to be different or something, tight perms like that haven't been around since my hubby was in school in the 70's, and even then they were not cute. Are you just kidding though??haha!!

Hi jamie, dont listen to all the others,if you want to perm your hair go for it.i think it looks nice on a male. i know a kid just a bit older than yourself and he has a tight perm,it looks really nice.so the style must be coming back in.It use to be all the rage at some time (in the 60's nearly 70's)and it looked really good on males then.personally me myself i think it makes a male look smart. go for it .good luck

Currently men having perms is not acceptable unless you want to be a throwback to 1980s footballers. Any lingering doubts as to whether a manperm is a good idea were killed off by Harry Enfields' Scousers. See link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSa7BhiXGkQ

Hey...hey...Calm down (said in a dodgy liverpudlian accent). Think about the hidden costs of this tight curly perm you speak of. The cost of a hideously bright shell suit, for instance!

I bet if you go through with it, you will get a buzz cut about 2 minutes after. I think guys with perms look, how should I say it not to get the gays upset........

don't do it, if you're needing a change experiment with styling products. get some advice from a friend. a perm is just what it says on box. PERMANENT.

I see nothing wrong with it but perms are hard to deal with when growing out. I think it might bring you more grief than pleasure. But if want to try it then go for it. It might be fun.

"All the Brady men have perms! That way the hair doesn't get into our eyes when we're fixing our bicycles!"
That's funny!
Strange that none of the Brady women ever got perms...
