They have swimming lessons for children as young as 6 months.

I took my son at 6 months to swimming lessons and I am now taking my 2 & 1/2 yo daughter.

They are really more water baby play time lessons which are designed to get your child used to/comfortable with the water.

Children can't really follow intructions in a gorup setting effectivley enough until they are 4 years old (or almost 4). My son will be 4 in April and is often a disturbance in the class.

maximum infants are 3-4 with a quantity 2-6. you're later than maximum, yet as an older swimmer you'll be conscious, and prepare and learn very very at the instant. maximum training are divided by technique of means (newbie, intermediate, progressed) and age too. The YMCA has an below 6 preschool, then there is the 6-12 (baby training) and then something over this is grownup. have confidence me you isn't in a classification with a team of three 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds. there is adults on your classification nevertheless.

Usually they start about 6 months. My 4 year old started at 6 months and he is a fish. I'm starting my 5 month old next month. At that young of an age, they blow bubbles and get them used to the water. I would suggest starting as soon as possible.
