Your hair is yellow becAuse your hair color was either colored darker or u had some red color in it previously. The only 2 ways u have of solving your problem is to either go to hairdressers and bleach it again (which will be very damaging for your hair) or use ash or silver toner on your hair (but that will only be a temporary solution as most of them last max 3-4 weeks and may not cover in detail depending on how yellow your hair is). Personally i think that you should c how u go with the toner first (the best one i ve used so far is IGORA in IceFlowere(silver) or the cheaper solution -Swarckof(sorry for spelling lol) in silver ). If that doesnt work i would strongly reccomend going to hairdressers as no one likes to walk around with yellow hair. Admit it, its ugly and no matter how nice the rest of your appearance is, yellow hair just ruins it. It would be like having a bad hair day every day. So yeahh trust my advice as i ve been there and done that many times.

When this happened to me I rang the careline number on the side of the dye box and they recommended I used an ash blonde dye over the top as it contains none of the brassy tones of most blondes and so should reduce them quite a bit. It worked really well. Go for one of the ones that is 'light ash blonde' and you should be ok. If it doesn't work then you'll have to cough up and professional to get it sorted. Good luck!

I take it you used a home kit!! Try a professional next time!! The only colours I recommend using to dye your hair using home kits is brown or black. Never dye your hair blonde or red using the home kits - they always come out brassy looking!!

That depends, what you have is brassiness, were you bleaching it, if so you need a toner, that is a color of blonde that goes over your hair after you bleach it, whenever you want to go blonde you must do two steps, a bleach, then a toner that is the color of your choice to go over it, it doesn't have to be blonde, whatever lighter than you original hair color color that you choose.

I wish I had all the yellow hair I could get because I'm bald. You'd be happy if you were bald for 20 years or so.

before trying any of the harsh suggestions, try getting a simple medicated shampoo (asda do 1 for about a pound) and wash your hair with that a few times....If you cant wait to do that, try fairy washing up liquid... either should dull down the yellow look....

Exactly what ST said...ash blonde colors are violet based....purple is opposite yellow on the color wheel...purple counteracts yellow....depending on how strong your yellow is...choose a similar violet based blonde.
