No, not at all. I agree a lot of the time with atheists, although I believe in God, and Hindus, Buddhists, Jews and Gnostic Christians, although I do not subscribe to all their beliefs. As long as someone doesn't assume that they are in a position of absolute truth and I am not, I will usually find myself in agreement with plenty of people.

To understand reality is not the same as to know about outward events. It is to perceive the essential nature of things. The best-informed man is not necessarily the wisest. Indeed there is a danger that precisely in the multiplicity of his knowledge he will lose sight of what is essential. But on the other hand, knowledge of an apparently trivial detail quite often makes it possible to see into the depth of things. And so the wise man will seek to acquire the best possible knowledge about events, but always without becoming dependent upon this knowledge. To recognize the significant in the factual is wisdom.

If you have differing opinions you cannot agree where your opinions differ regardless how intelligent or unintelligent you both are.

You may agree on different aspects the same as many atheists agree with Pagans and Pagans agree with Hindus, etc.

No, my husband is very intelligent and has different opinions than I do. I can see his point and agree with him.

Not a good question. Two intelligent people can have two intelligent opinions that are different because their info is different.

Yes, it's impossible while both of our opinions remain different. Otherwise, we'd have the same opinion. Now if you're asking whether or not I can respect a differing opinion...that's a whole different question. :-)

Well, maybe I don´t actually agree with them, but I can see that they have a really good opinion and I can learn from that. It makes me to think my own opinion better through and my arguments for my own opinion. Sometimes I can see and agree that that person´s particular opinion is better suited for that particular situation or far more better argued for. So maybe I can re-think my own views and even change them.

No, I have learned allot from people I disagree with. I have even changed my position several times, when presented with hard evidence that contradicts my point of view.

I find it much more impossible to agree with someone who won't listen to my point at all and will ignore it in order to maintain their own preconceived ideas.

That is frustrating, but necessary for many who talk to me about their faith. Sometimes people have to ignore reality in order to maintain comfort.

Not at all. As long as they can base their belief on a foundation intelligently then there should be no problem agreeing to disagree!!!
