it doesn't matter if its funny but just go up to him with massive bambie eyes and ask him to the prom and don't forget to give a little lip

If it were me I would just go up to him and ask.
But if you want to add something special to it... buy him a CD (like Eric Clapton, Tom Jones...) and include a note inside asking him to prom or wear a clown nose and ask him (lol.. that would be funny).
