can you make them wav's or vice versa on windows media player, itunes, jetaudio? or is there a special small(not many MB & easy to use) converting program i can download?

Go to the below link and download the free program called "Audacity". While there, also download the add-on called "LAME mp3 encoder". It'll work fine for you. Hope this helps.

check out goldwave sound editor - it's a great program for converting files and editing as well
if you do decide to download the goldwave program - make sure you also download the LAME MP3 file along with it - which is also located in the goldwave download site:

download SUPER (www.erightsoft.com), it's freeware and converts many audio and video formats.
