It's embarrassing having to shave ones chin when one is a woman. Should I make excuses at work and nip off to the toilet to shave or pretend I'm putting on face cream on when it's in fact hair removing cream?

Hey Mrs. Badgrumbles,
Doesn't Menopause make you nuts!!!
Suck it up, go to the washroom and shave.Start right this minute and save some money from each paycheck so you can have electrolysis or lazer hair removal. My boys started to refer to me as the parent with the bigger moustache. (Gotta love em or you'll kill em.) If Menopause doesn't make us kill something we will be stronger when it's over. Bring it on! Emjae
( It does end right??)

I think I would use the cream and get rid of. Razors can scratch and if electric, make noise.
The face creaming can now be a part of your luncheon programme.
At least I would do it that way. But indeed, a shadowy chin is quite a charming thing to some men. So, be good to yourself, and if you like keep that face wonderfully smooth, or try letting it grow. You may become quite popular at all office and social functions.

If you're not inclined to electrolysis, you might consider trying the prescription cream Vaniqa (pronounced “VAN-i-ka”), otherwise known as eflornithine hydrochloride 13.9%. The down side to Vaniqa is that it will usually take two months of treatment before you see if you're part of the 58% of women it helps or the 42% that it doesn't. This means you will likely need to continue using a hair removal method (e.g., shaving or plucking) for those two months in conjunction with the cream.

Go to your OB/GYN about taking estrogen pills, that may help. Try waxing even though I know that would hurt so bad. They have lasers that take off the hair follicle and root permanently so it will stop growing. That might be the best bet :)

try going to your dermatologist, there is a new cream out that permanently gets rid of facial hair on women i can't remember what it is called but there are commercials for it and the doctor would know what you are talking about. electrolosis is good but painful and expensive. try this first! hope it helps

Ah, well perhaps a Rolf Harris convention might provide some light relief.

I would consider electrolysis. It won't solve your immediate problem overnight, but will help in the long run. Besides, I always found the bearded lady to be quite sexy!

pluck or wax it off it will take longer for it to grow! or you can always get electrolysis done or have it laserly removed.

good luck =)
