i asked this before and i got stupid answers from guys telling me to do sexual things. My "boy"friend (kinda complicated) is joining the marines and takes off in august. I love him very much and i want to get him a really thoughtful gift that will make him think of me when he is gone (he'll be in japan or germany for four years :-( the reason we aren't together). I am already making a very personal scrap book for him any other ideas? he doesn't collect anything and he isn't really into sports either, not a specific team at least

Does he have a favorite book or author? If it's a more contemporary one, you could get him a signed copy. Try looking online.

How about a watch? You can have it engraved on the back. He'll look at it throughout the day and night, every time he checks the time and think of you constantly. Best wishes to you both.

A gift from the heart is the best gift of all, anything that you create, make is much better than somthing bought. Look at his intrests and hobbies. If he likes hats you can engrave your name inside, if you are good at sewing - sew him a pillow or blanket he can use each night... thats what I would do. Good luck

this is a link from www.christianbook.com These seem like some really nice gift book ideas for a Christian man in the military. You can write a really nice inscription in it. Check it out. I think the first book listed of "God Answers prayers - Military Edition..." seems very nice. God bless you!

it is not approximately what I have been given. I found out approximately 4 months in the past that the girl of my desires enjoyed a necklace (she defined it over the telephone, long distance relationship) properly, I have been given her fairly plenty precisely as she defined, and it melted her coronary heart. That reaction replaced into greater desirable than any present all of us could have given me. Heck my dad gave me a $350 gps receiver for while i pass out backpacking and hiking, searching or in spite of, and that's mind-blowing, yet no longer almost as significant as that

best thing you can give him is something that you made i.e your scrap book or a special picture of you or the both of you in a frame sounds a bit lame i now but sometimes the simple things mean more

Pictures, letters, an email address.
Also ask his parents what he likes, they might have insights. You can also ask them what he likes to eat, and cook that for him before he leaves.
Also you can give him nothing better than great memories, so do something with him, instead of giving something to him.

something small, a trinket of some sort that he can look at and think of you. a long distance friend of mine once gave me a clay cross with a great deal of detail on it, hung on a piece of hemp. it's only about 2" tall and 1" wide, but it hangs on the wall above my bed to "keep me safe". i have even taken it on vacation with me to stay safe on my journey.
