i'm sick of the $20 ones from WalMart that only keep my hair straight for an hour. any suggestions from someone with long, VERY thick hair?

A previous person called it a "che" but it is the CHI! The CHI is the best EVER! IT makes ur hair SO soft and shiny! IT IS AMAZING! I extremely LONG AND THICK hair, they charge me a lot extra at the salon because of it. This straightner does my hair in about 40 minutes and stays for the whole day and then some. The smaller 1/2 to 1 inch ones are probably in your price range. Mine is 2 inches, which sounds like the best fit for your hair, and costs 200 dollars. If you order through your hair stylist they might be able to get you a slight discount , mine did! I feel ur pain with the thick hair, but u'll love it when you get older and its not thinning like ur friend's are!!!!!! I c it in my mom's friends. Our thick hair is a blessing NOT a curse! WOO HOO!

Honestly I have tried ALOT of them ranging in price from 20 - 150 and the best I have found so far is the remington wet to straight one its at target for like 45 bucks. The best thing is your not killing your hair by blow drying it and then straightening it.

okay My sister just got a new one and when I used it I went right out and got me one it's called andies I love it
It heats up to 400 degrees and has 20 heat settings I think this is the best hair strightner ever you might also want to try a CHI.
My hair is thick and long and I can do my hair in about 15 min tops!

Definitely a Chi. I have it & its the best straightner ever! I got mine @ Ulta. It stays straight all day & makes my hair really shiny too!
