I suppose every time someone dies, it is THEIR judgment day.
It is indeed confusing. Hard to know what to believe.
Basically I believe I should be a good person in this life, as well as I know how. I should TRY to be better in this life. Effort is important, too.
I'm not really spiritual, but i try to be moral. I kind of envy spiritual people. Most spiritual people are normal and sane.

You're exactly right... the judgement has not happened yet so there must be a "waiting area"...I am LDS (mormon) and we believe that when a person dies, their spirit goes to either spirit "paradise" or spirit "prison" depending on their righteousness during this life. Once there, those in paradise can teach the gospel to those in spirit prison, some will accept the gospel and some won't. That is why we as LDS perform proxy ordinances for the dead - so those who do accept the gospel have their ordinances done already and can move from spirit prison to paradise and await the millenium and final judgement. There's more to it if you want to know, email me or talk with some LDS missionaries.

From my own point of view I believe that ppl who die do not go to heaven. They remain on earth as spirit. Think about this. If ppl went to heaven when they died then why do we have hauntings?? Aren't all souls suppose 2 go 2 Heaven/Hell?? I always feel theres some spirits around me. Some good and some bad.

There is no heaven yet. When you die you either go to paradise or hades. When Christ comes, hell will be established, Satan will be cast in, and all the rest will be judged before the Great White Throne. Those in Christ go to heaven which Christ had just made, and sinners will visit with Satan for eternity.

I don't believe in going to heaven. I mean sometimes I do but sometimes I think that's just something someone along the way made up because it's better then thinking we just die in the ground. It's a complicated question..

Some people have had near death experiences where they actually died and came back. Read about those if you haven't already... pretty cool stuff. Everyone believes what they're going to believe, so I doubt any answer will change your mind. I personally have no doubt that God exists and loves us. Good luck in your search.

Ignore the bible. It is really a buy bull.
Most souls cross over and there is no religion that makes a difference. Especially not a religion as idiotic as Christianity or Islam.

I think that if we havent lived our lives correctly or done something wrong, were stuck here on the earth as lingering confused spirits. if not we go to a happy place not exactly (heaven) but similar... dont ask why i believe this.

our physical shell returns to the earth from whence it came. our soul/spirit lives on and goes to another plane of existence where they will continue to gain and share the knowledge/wisdom which was gained while on this plane. this will continue until such time as the soul/spirit returns to THE CREATOR OF US ALL.

It depends on what your religion is. Some religions teach that we are reborn again into another life, so in that case, we would would continue living, but as another life.
