Where to start? There are hundreds of great cheap places out there, but some that spring to mind.
- Tokyo Diner off Leicester Square, fantastic Japanese food at an amazing price. Its my regular.
- PizzaTeca in Queens Park, serves divine pizza and great atmospheric pub opposite too for after the pizza
- Wagamama's - all over London, good food at reasonable prices, though Tokyo Diner wins my visit more regularly.
- Indian food , any of the restaurants in Brick Lane have a great atmosphere and good indian food.
- Try Kingsland Road for Vietnamese , Song Que Cafe is great. this is very near Old Street Station.
Hope they help!

Bert's Cafe in the Holloway Rd, I live in North East Scotland but whenever I go back to my roots I visit Bert's. The London Grill for breakfast is both a challenge and great value i.e. Pork chop, liver, sausage, mushrooms, tomato, bacon, toast, onions, double bubble, eggs, beans, mug of tea. Fiver. Then across the road to the Vic for serious beer and the Irish jukebox!!!!!!

how about a great meal followed by a mouth watering cakes?
well you can go to Patisserie Concerto in Knightsbridge which is close to Harrods. so after doing some viewing there, there is nothing as great as having a nice meal there and then a ddelicious cake like my favourite straberry gateaux..
anyway, i hope u enjoy ur time in london

London does have some very nice places to eat at, some are very expensive and some are reasonable it all depends on what sort of food you want.
Personally I love Wagamama's which is a Japanese noodle bar and there are lots of them all over London

ottoman mezze restaurant, Wilton road, Victoria. We came across this Turkish restaurant by chance yesterday. It was delicious, the service was great. I love dining out and I have never tasted meat cooked so well, it melted in your mouth. Two courses and a couple of drinks for under £20 a head.
Well worth a visit.

China China on the corner of Gerrard Street, at the Charing Cross Road end. Don't expect to sit there all night though. They throw the lovely food at you really quick and then you feel obliged to bugger off, but it is great food. I recommend having lunch there.
