yes, limewire allows you to download and share videos, pictures, audio, and programs. You can also opt out of sharing your files, however it can cause limewire to run slower. I have been using limewire for over a year now and until recently have'nt had any issues with it. Make sure you have a really good antivirus program as there is certainly the possibility of downloading a virus...i recently got a computer (sisters old one) and i didnt know it didnt have an antivirus and i installed and used limewire and ended up with a trojan that infected 723 of my files....downloaded AVG and is gone now and am able to use limewire again. It is a very easy to use p2p, and so far in all the ones i have checked out is the easiest to install, doesnt take up much room, and is easy to use.

I have been using LimeWire for about a year and not had any problems. Make sure your AV is up to date. This is a paid program to use though you can download the free version as well. LimeWire is smart and knows when you have a bad file, as in Virus and will ask you if you want to keep on downloading. You can download anything from a picture to a full motion movie.

i would not recomend using limewire. i used it before and someone hacked my computer and i got 3 different viruses and i was only sharing music. So unless you feel safe with your anti-virus programs i would not use limewire. And you can share jus about any kind of file
