Sorry to hear about your toothache, I have been there. If you cannot see a dentist till friday try presenting yourself at casualty at a teaching hospital where they will have a dental school. They are obliged to see you there and then.
Meanwhile to try and dull the pain take some strong painkillers.Ibuprofen, paracetamol , asprin or codeine.I find ibuprofen works best for me.Try again with oil of cloves it is about the only thing that I find works.Put it on a cotton wool bud and get it right into the tooth. It not only is a mild anaesthetic it also acts as an anyibiotic.
there is one other thing you could try, which I did a few years ago.I had an abcess causing a swelling under the tooth in my gum and I couldn't get to a dentist, so I went to the doctor, explained the situation and he gave me some penicillin to bring it down in the meantime. Good luck.

Find ur nearest NHS walk in centre or ring NHS direct on 0845 46 47 they will give u advice, failing that and failing to get to a dentist anywhere u can always go to your GP or casualty! Sounds like u are getting or have got an acute abscess as a result of the large hole, I know its not fun but you should at least be able to get some antibiotics from one of the above resources to get some relief until u can see a dentist. Also try taking ibuprofen for the pain and paracetamol (as long as not allergic to either). However, i'm sure there will be a dentist somewhere abeit maybe even a private one that will see you an i've learnt first hand that if the pain is that bad, money shouldn't be a problem!!!!! sorry

First of all call the DDS back and see if they can call you in pain meds or an antibiotic!! Second Ibprofrin 3 at a time work well! Sometimes a icepack may help! Even call back and see if they can see you right away to diagnois the problem and maybe even do treatment at a later date ie a day or to later. Chances are the tooth is infected and you w/ need to be on antibiotics before treatment anyway! (girlfriend works at a dental office)

Do you not have a dental hospital anywhere nearby? Try ringing your GP surgery and ask for advice. Or try NHS helpline. Ring some dental surgeries and explain your plight - I'd be surprised if they would be prepared to leave you to suffer. Toothache is such a miserable thing and I really sympathise. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

You probably will have a tooth abcess, this will really hurt more and more until you have it treated. If you have a GP then go see them and get some antibiotics and some pain relief, then access the Emergency Dental Service. All dentists are obliged to give emergency treatment, so talk to the closest to you and see what they can do.Then your next port of call is your primary care trust website, where you should find a listing of dentists taking on new patients.

by take suitable precautions. Avoid eating

It sounds exactly like when I had an abcess- sorry but you need antibiotics. Go to A&E if you cant wait for the doctors tomorrow.
There is an NHS dental emergency telephone line on 0845 4647 and i used this webpage:
http://www.nhs.uk/England/Dentists/Default.aspx
Good luck!! The antibiotics take about 2 days to work but the relief! Feel so sorry for you, i cried for days as well!

If it is as bad as it is hurting your gum you may have an infection don't know if it will work only go to your A&E and they may give you some painkillers and antibiotics as if not it could lead to an ear infection as well. They helped me at my A&E about 4 years ago.
