There is no word of God per se. There is metaphor which was created by early human story tellers, and later recorded by human writers. Still later, those same words were taken as fact and rewritten to promote the individual ideologies of those days. Still later, everyone assumed it was the word of God, taking the metaphors and allegory as absolute truth.

It's a funny story actually...
God and Gabriel the Archangel were having lunch in an outside cafe in heaven at God's favorite table, the one overlooking earth; you know when you're God you always get the best table.
Anyway, God ordered the holy shrimp platter and after throwing a few too many in his mouth and chuckling at devil jokes, began to choke. When Gabriel applied the heimlich, one of the shrimp, now blessed incredible wisdom from being inside God, flew out of the deity's throat and landed way way down on earth in the ocean. When the shrimp was caught by some fishermen, he traded his life for the almighty wisdom of God. The fisherman knew this shrimp HAD to know what it was talking about, I mean, have you ever met talking seafood??? So they wrote... it... down

That's pretty much the story in a nutshell.

God is a spiritual Being and so does not have a "mouth." The word of God went from Him to the human authors and they wrote the books of the Bible under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
