Great question.
Why didn't one Roman or Greek scribe write about this tremendous event. The only documentation of it comes from letters written 70-200 years after the event. There are many Roman documents that record battles and taxation. Why doesn't Josephus mention these walking dead, he wrote about everything else.....

Don't get funny. The Bible plainly states that they got back in their graves after all the excitement had subsided.
The Roman authorities hardly even noticed -- which explains why it never made headlines at the time, and nobody even wrote about it except Matthew or was it Luke I forget.

The Bible doesn't say much about what happened during their coming out of the graves, except that they did appear to many people, but that is it. Anything else sounds speculative. They are dead people, so I don't think that they became members of society again because of the fact that they were dead. Other than that, not much is known about that incident.

That is a strange passage. No other details of events relating to it are given.
They would have been in some kind of resurrection body, and would return to heaven when or before Jesus ascended. It says elsewhere that Jesus preached to the Old Testament people who had died adhering to the Old Covenant, and were domiciled in a place called 'abraham's bosom', since they couldn't go to heaven until atonement was provided. He took them back to heaven. I think the people who resurrected in Jerusalem were a smattering, for testimony's sake, that resurrection was now possible for humans.
They wouldn't be subject to the physical necessities we are so wouldn't need to get jobs again, or eat, and would be here for a short time only.

They mistakenly thought it was the End Times. That's when the dead are supposed to return to life. But after they realized their mistake, they didn't want to go back to their tombs (who can blame them). So for the past 2000 years, they've just been lounging around waiting for the real End Times to arrive.

Yeah, I've always kind of zipped through that verse ... not sure what to do with it. There's one school of thought that felt that all went to a "holding" place until Christ died. Those that this verse mentions are those that were believers that were released (I guess they would then go to heaven). I'm not in that school, but I thought I'd just throw that out there.

You need to lay off the drugs and try living in the real world for awhile. If you truly want to know about God, then quit thinking you already know all you need to know and dismiss the possibility there is a God. Find a good Christian church (I would suggest Catholic Church ) and study what they believe. Then and only then could you make an informed decision about what true FAITH is all about. "The truth will set you free "

They went to the Father. Because these are the ones who were saved by Christs message when He descended to hades after His death for our sins. While there He preached the good news. Those that chose to listen were saved, those that denied the truth well......
