I would love to be able to tell you yes so you can make accommodations but sadly the answer is no. Newborns and unborn babies don't have a sense of time. Their day to day schedules will be dictated largely by rotating cycles of eating and sleeping. It will take several weeks to months to get a feel for your child's individual rhythms. But trust me you'll never get enough sleep or just as you start to think you've got a handle on it... it changes. Best of luck and congrats Mommy!

For the first few weeks, it's likely your baby will maintain a similar schedule. Hopefully he/she won't have days and nights mixed up, because that can be stressful. A baby that sleeps all day will most likely be up all night. It takes about 2 weeks to work the schedule out. Make sure baby has plenty of light and noise during the day and darkness and quiet at night.

I found my baby had the hiccups at the same time every day. That finally wore off too. But it was fun feeling him bump every day around 2pm.

Congratulations --- and Good Luck!

In my experience, both my babies were most active inside me when I slowed down. So if I was busy all day, go go go, they were quiet, but when I finally got to sit down or try to take a nap they were kicking like crazy! Once they were born they were typical newborns-asleep for most of the time, then settling into a pretty regular routine of awake/asleep at around 4 months.

Most definitely yes! But if they are active at night and calm during the day you will be able to adjust their sleep cycles after they are born. My daughter was always waking me up with her kicks at night. It took us until she was almost 3 months, but we got her nights and days switched around to match the rest of us. :-)

My last was (and still is) very accommodating. It only took him 2 weeks to shift. Each baby is different, a joy and a treasure!

Congratz!

Yes! My fiance is pregnant and she asked her doctor and he said yes. they are used to being up at certain times and that is their schedule. It may change because of the light slightly.
