I have family in the military, and they don't believe that just because we the American people are angry with our choice through congress to go to war, that we should abandon the hopes of these tormented people.
So, now I am asking every person enlisted that uses this site to tell me if you feel the same.
No answers from civilians please, military only.
Thank you

I am so glad to see that our troops and their loving families on majority feel the same as I do.
Support our soldiers, Support Freedom for Iraq, and Support keeping the promise America made to the Iraq people.

I would like to thank every military person out there for endangering their own lives to stand up for right and wrong.
I love you, and so does your home America

We are headed towards a just goal. There will be bumps in the road, its War! I wish we had a society that could stomach the sacrifice it takes. They have no clue, have not been asked to give up anything. I hate to hear people complain about the "hell" they have endured for 7 years. What has changed in their lives other than a little linger line at the airport and 5 minutes of news coverage on Iraq.
A free Iraq would be a huge step towards peace in that region and for our future generations, I'm all for it - whatever it takes.

I am retired and even today if I were to be called, I would go. The problems that you and others like you have is that you do not know the true meaning of suffering. I have been deployed to hostile countries twice. Both times I witnessed things that would make you throw up. You can not understand the feeling of satisfaction that one feels from helping people that are struggling to survive. When you deploy a 2nd time and see the improvements on the ground, you can tell that your presence has made the difference.

The news that you listen to only gives you the left side of the story, and I am sorry that you can not listen to your family members that are serving. For you to question their information based on what you hear from the news, only shows that no matter what information is given to you hear, you will still be a anti-Bush, and anti-war person. Just think if Bush had done nothing like Clinton. Clinton had several terrorist attacks almost on a yearly basis and Bush has only had the one.

The American Soldier, so proud and true,
Determined to protect others, through and through.

Their guns are ready, their minds are sharp,
They've trained to fight and they fight with their heart.

With the foundation of freedom forefront in mind,
They take up their arms, leaving family behind.

On foreign ground their feet must trod,
With prayers for their family and themselves to God.

At times the price for freedom is high,
With hopes that WORLD PEACE is soon to be nigh.

So blessed are we to taste of that freedom,
Something others only fathom and reason.

Keep yourselves well and feel of our prayers,
That soon you'll be home to your everyday cares.

The journey is hard, days will be long,
So keep in your hearts, our nations song.

A song of peace, a song of truth,
Freedom's strength, we all must prove.

The WORLD'S elite, clothed with sacred honor,
Sharing of GOD'S blessings, we all must stop and ponder.

Few to hardly any at all. I was in the Marines and I go to the VA hospital. No one at the VA has said one thing about pulling out but more to the staying there and kicking butt.

I am a vet, and I can tell you injustice is rampant around the world, even here at home.

It's part of the human condition since we got out of the gate(just read what was happening in the BIBLE 2000 years ago...war, famine, disease, poverty, injustice, slavery, etc, etc). The dates have changed, but the game is the same...

We have NO business in IRAQ, this just a personal vendetta by our president(who also is a slave to corporate america).

Those tormented people??? What about Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria? Brazil? Middle East? Mexico? etc, etc. WHY are we NOT there? Could it be possibly linked to certian parties visiting the WhiteHouse in January of 2000...to decide our nations "energy policies"...Exxon...Mobil...Conneco-Philips...BP...Chevron...ALL turning the screws into the peole they got into office, and deep into YOUR pockets...see why a house is no longer affordable...why gas is $3.00/gallon versus $1.19...

Our govt is one giant PR machine..that's politics, because the masses are dumb as a box of rocks...just read my previous question.

Looks like you answered your own question, and closed the questions from everyone thinks any other than you do. Not exactly the general idea of yahoo answers.

Simple mind awakening question, no need to answer

" What on earth you U.S military folks think you`re doing invading non- atomic energy arab country on the other side of the planet, killing their president, breaking their political system, pumping their oil for low cost, snipering civilians and torturing them on a Boeing above Europe, capturing them to cuba, and talkin about staying there for peace?"

Nope, we should stay.

Whether people believe it or not, because of what they see on TV or read in the papers or blogs (I can't believe people use that as a news source), we are making progress here and things can change. We just have to stick with it.

And as for the tormented people, she is referring to the Iraqis, not US troops.
