Yep. There would be the line about men laying with men and the part about being saved no matter what other sins you commit and that's about it. A one page Bible.

Chippy..you seem pre occupied with Christians following some doctrines while not following others. I agree with you to a point however. The thing to remember is that even though some of us are Christians, we are all still human. Born with the innate ability to sin, and continue to sin. I suppose that makes us all hypocrites. But the thing that i wonder about, is what do you think? I feel that in reading some of your ?'s that you do not belie in the word of God. Thats fine, but what about the Laws of man? to you follow every single one of them? Have you ever chosen to ignore a speed limit cuz you were in a hurry? Id imagine you have. Does that make you any less of a hypocrite? Nobody walking this earth is perfect my friend. Some are just saved by a perfect sacrifice.

Dang, that's a pretty good idea! Pretty Clever. To answer your questions, YES to all of the above. I was looking for a definition of God earlier, and I went to some religious website. It had a link to show all of God's characteristics. I showed compassion, love, etc. and related Bible verses, but it so conveniently left out all the bad characteristics such as vengeance. It's kinda funny! It's called selective truth.

yes I agree with your point, very true. Easy for some to ignore certain things, and be hypocritical. But in defense many thing appear differently to the saved as opposed to the unsaved.

It should come with a disclaimer.
"Warning! This book is a work of fiction. Reading it will cause hypocrisy, bigotry, intolerance, and a false sense of superiority"

No, but it should be color coded. The sarcastic parts should be in green, the allegorical stories in purple, the literal bits in blue, etc.

Chippy, you are an agnostic, why do you care what the Christian Bible says or how different Christians use and interpret it. Would you be more apt to believe in God if we all had no choice but to believe whatever the Bible said and no minds of our own to interpret what we read. I do not think God ever intended the Bible to be seen this way. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
