I had it really really bad over the summer and I went to a dermatoligist...he gave me something...im not sure what exactly it was called but that stuff was amazing.....also at night when your asleep wrap an ace bandage around the poision ivy so you dont scratch it in your sleep...thats everything I did.

You mostly just have to let it run its course and dry up. Calamine lotion is good to help it to dry, and I especially like a product called "caladryl" which is basically liquid benadryl that you rub on your skin....it helps the itching as well as helping to dry it. The important thing is to resist the urge to scratch, because that will make it spread.
