I am in a relationship that's going nowhere fast, and I'm well aware of it. It's convenient right now for me. My family, friends and co-workers keep bugging me about finding a "great guy" because I deserve someone great. I'm glad they all think so, but why can't I just live my life? Why do people have to constantly be trying to set me up with other people? Is it wrong to just have a relationship of convenience for a while sometimes?

I don't have to be in a relationship, I don't think. However, I've been in this one for quite a few years (we do not live together and only see one another twice a month- it's a long distance deal). It's easier right now to just roll with the punches than get out...

Maybe they don't want you to waste your time on this dud. It may seem like we all have forever and we don't. Don't waste your time on a dead end relationship. Even if you're single for a while. Date around. Have fun. They're just trying to help.

If you don't like the sound of that, then tell them it's your choice and they need to cut it out.

I totally agree with you...Everyone makes a deal about being in relationships and for what ?? I just wish everyone would leave me alone too and let me live my own life. Not my fault they want to explore dating again and dump their husbands/wives.

thats not convinience, you're just having a relationship because you dont want to be single. as soon as mr right comes along you'll dump mr for-the-sake-of-it, no problem. dont be afraid to be single.

Why do you feel like you have to be in a relationship? Is that the only way you feel whole?

No, but they sense that you're not happy, and they want you to be happy. I wish all my friends and family felt that way.
