It's not a 10 needs less air, but it pushes less air which is your bass. If you don't want that much bass, go for a 10.

Man its whatever u prefer. My buddy use to have 12's in his truck and later had some 10's. When he first got the truck it Had four 10's in it and it is a 95 S-10. I myself use to have 3 15" JL W-0 in my 98 Ford Ranger but it was an extended cab.

what ever that someone told you, it's WRONG!I have 12" subs under my seats and both produce about the same amount of air.it really don't matter as long as someone can here you comin down the block and amps are running well.
