please help me! i don't know anything about systems. i want to know how many watts and what other specifications do i need to look at for the amp. I want it to sound good. I purchased 2 Kenwood KFC-W3011 subs. i need an amp for them and i don't want to spend 100's of dollars on one if i don't really need to. i do want one that is going to sound good though. but i dont need it to be the best system in town..lol Is it true you get what you pay for?

Be sure the amp is CEA-2006 compliant.

Is it true you get what you pay for? Not if your a smart shopper and know what your doing.

I say this because I can take the crappiest of Wal-Mart subs and put them in a well designed enclosure and beat the pants off of $400 subs in a junk box.

i've got been given the kenwood kac-9152d sub amp which could actually push a pair of audiobahn 12ves rated at at 1800 max for the pair and that i in basic terms paid like 270 for it final 365 days. its a funky amp because of the fact it comes with the seperate sub administration. that must be a funky (matching amp) on your subs.
