Been single for 18 months but decided that I'd like another relationship.I met someone at Xmas (Max) & he asked me out.I turned him down because he was unemployed & just out of a long relationship & I though it was the wrong time.There's an attraction between us but we've just never managed to get it together (he is employed again now).He's been out with other people since Xmas but nothing serious.
Totally separately,my friend has arranged for me to meet up with a friend of her husbands (Jim).He's seen me a few times& wants to ask me out.I don't know him & can't remember seeing him so it's a bit of a blind date.A big group of us is going out next weekend & she's invited him along.
Today she called me because her & another friend went for a drink last night & the other friend has invited Max on the same night out & he's coming too!What am I going to do?I really want Max but Jim is coming along to meet me.I haven't been out with anyone for so long & now it's so complicated. Help!!!

OK..it is evident that there are going to be a lot of people there..first tell your friends to tell Jim that you are going to be there but not sure if you two will hit if off so it is not a date but more of a meeting with him and that you want to spend time talking with other friends as well...that should take the pressure off that it is an actual date.........when you go mingle with some different people including Jim and Max...hopefully that night you will feel more sure........who knows it may be Jim that you end up with.........have fun

You can lead a horse to water but you cannot force him to drink. Remain aloof with both Jim and Max until Max makes his move.
If you hang about looking at him, Jim will just think you are "taken" and Jim might prove out to be "the one", after all or perhaps neither of them.
If Max asks for your telephone number for a later chat, perhaps you can give it to him unnoticed. Give Jim the same chance Max had IF you like Jim. Big IF there...

u have nothing to worry about.u can do two things. 1st. call up your friends, make up an excuse and tell them u can't meet up with everyone on that day. then re-schedule with Jim on one day, and Max on another. but knowing women im sure u'll appreciate the extra attention u'll get that night. because both males will be looking at u from the corner of their eyes, this will happen even when u go to the restroom. at the moment u r dont have a seriouse comitment to any of them. so as soon as u walk in the door make up your mind, and sit next to he who u like most.

bring a single girl for jim and keep max for yourself since it's kind of blind date tell jim that this the girl they were talking about not you
Or you could freak Jim out like calling him over and over before the date that way he gets so freaked out that he doesn't want to go

chill out lol if dere is goin to b a group of ppl dnt jus move around and talk to jim fo a lil while but also to max..ur jus hangin out wid jim but ur not on a real date so u have nuthin to wry bout and there's nuthin dat says U HAVE TO STAY WID JIM the whole time

OOPS! Oh dear, love! It can be hard when you're caught between guys, I've been there before myself.
BUT... You have to be frank with them, or they won't trust you. If they're nice, they'll understand. If they don't, then they obviously aren't right for you and you should move on.
