Six minutes perhaps a couple of times a week. Then once a week. Do not believe all the hype you read about skin cancer - it is simply not true. After all the NHS uses UV radiation itself in the treatment of psoriasis. Skin cancer and it's fear is making millions for drug companies that sell UV protection. Learn the real facts and not the bullshit. Most of the people who are frightened of the possibility of skin cancer don't apply the same fears to their smoking.

Never, fake tan is cheaper and safer. Sunbeds age your skin very badly and you will really regret it in years to come. Worse still you are risking your health. Your health and the damage to you skin can not be reversed. St Tropez is an excellent fake tan with better results. You will need to go on a sunbed for weeks to get a noticeable tan. Its not worth the money or the risk.

You should never use a sunbed. There are so many great fake tans about now days, you don't really have to risk your health to get a tan.

I wouldn't recommend using a sunbed, unless you want skin cancer and wrinkles. Fake tan is much safer!!!

I recommend never. Go out in the sun and get a natural tan. Never use sun lotion either - that causes cancer by making people stay out in the sun far longer than is safe. Just spend a few minutes in the sun each day to gradually build up a natural safe tan.

i went three times in a week to get my tan. then once every week. after a while my skin started to look awful so i have stopped going. i also started to burn on the face. i used to go for six minutes at a time but i would not recomend it its great at first but then after a while you start to feel like a chicken in an oven.... if it is a good place the assistant should advise you what is best to use for your skin type, faking it is messy and time consuming.. but much healthier. good luck xx

Not at all!
The benefits of looking a bit browner are far outweighed by the risk of skin cancer and prematurely aged skin. Buy a good bottle of fake tan if you must change colour.

I would recommend a spray tan. No lasting damage to the skin.
