Currently right now there is two hours difference between California and Maui, so if it is noon in California its 10 am in Maui. I do believe that will change once daylights savings kicks in this weekend.
You can get the current local times for both locations below:

Hawaii does not recognize/use day light savings.
When the West Coast is on standard time then the time difference is 2 hours behind California; 10:00am HST.
When the states adopt Day Light Savings then the time difference becomes 3 hours behind California; 9:00am HST

It depends on the time of year, but right now if it was 12:00 noon it would be 10:00 in the a.m.

This website is very useful as it shows the time anywhere--- and also considers daylight savings etc.
Hawaii does not do daylight saving, BTW. So sometimes there are two hours difference; sometimes three.

Hawaii is in the Pacific Time Zone, and is three hours earlier than California. My daughter lives there, so I'm very sure.
