It should be called Sissy Slap Fu. I saw part of one show and felt dumber. I can't believe that they call that martial arts. It reminded me of point sparring. About the only thing missing was one of them complaining about a broken finger nail.

I have to agree with Bluto. Maybe it was a liability concern, but the lack of real contact was appalling. One contestant even left due to inability to adapt to such restrictive rules. I can only pray that people don't think that traditional MA's are anything like the Final Fu competitors. After seeing that show, I knew traditional TKD schools would take a hit in credibility. TKD stylists were in the majority, I believe. I know that Chuck Norris is starting a show called the "World Combat League". Hopefully, it will be better that the unrealistic fights in Fu.
If you have seen WCL, let me know if it's worth watching. Thanks.

I think of it as more hokey crap that MTV came up with.
The only one worthwhile was Ernie Reyes Jr., and he was the host.
The sparring was weak, the competitions were stupid, and the cast was full of crap. If this is the state of martial arts today then we have forgotten what the arts are.
What the hell was up with the sissy slap point fighting crap anyway !!!
I can only call it crap !!! (Thats because YA would edit out all the other crap I had to say about it.)

I agree with the others here. It was so disappointing. The fights where unrealistic as well as the tasks. And most of the supposed martial artist there where some of the worst I have seen. Who did the castings? It seem the casting was about who was the most unrealistic, less skilled, less talented, but that can do flips of martial artists. Just my humble opinion.

Final Fu was so Gay. The only good people were Ernie and his employees. Muay Thai, San shou, jeet kune do , or any other good striking art wasn't shown there. The fighting was weak and it embarassed almost every good martial artist out there. Thats why i sitck to watching k1 or pride.

I thought it was total crap.
It had nothing to do with martial arts- it was a game of martial tag with a bunch of other crap thrown in.
The rules were an absolute joke, and quite frankly I find thier marketing as this having anything to do with martial arts and fighting insulting.
this is another example of something that will water down the fighting arts and lead people to run with thier "street fighting is the best" crap.

it was stupid. The tasks seemed virtually pointless to any mildly intelligent martial artist. That and the sparring tournament was retarded, Who the hell gets in trouble for kicking to hard?
