My boyfriend?
I have been dating my boyfriend for almost one year now. We made the decision in October to move in together. Everything has been going great. I love him a lot and want to spend the rest of my life with him. We have talked and both agreed that we want to get married before the end of this year. He told me that when he got his bonus he was due to recieve by the end of this month that he was going to buy me an engagement ring. Then, last night, he told me that when he got his bonus, he was going to buy all of these things for his car. It would be different if he HAD to have these things, but he doesn't. I don't want to be rude to him and make him feel like he has to buy me a ring, because I would love him anyway. Should I let him know he has hurt my feelings, or should I just not say anything and let him do whatever he wants since it is his money?

i would act like nothing ever happened.. i think he wants a reaction... it seems like he might be trying to push your buttons to see what you will do... don't say anything.. go about your business like nothing ever happened... go out with your friends more.. keep following your normal routine, like you didn't even notice at all. most likely after a few days of you pulling away a little bit.. he will bring it up. trust me.. it'll work.
seriously... all i can say is go to barnes and noble today... and get these two books by Sherry Argov... 'Why Men Love Bitches" and especially "Why Men Marry Bitches"... trust me.. these books have helped me understand so much about men, the things they do and why they do them, relationships, commitment, everything. He is probably trying to suprise you with a ring and told u he was getting things for his car to throw you off.
Allthough it doesn't seem like guys care too much about proposals and engagements, they put a lot of thought into how their going to do it, when their going to do it and how to keep you from knowing.

You love him. Everything is going great. You'd be together anyway.
Why make a big deal of it? Try not to act like a spoiled child pouting if you don't get what you want. He'll buy it when he's ready.

if you don't tell him how you feel it would grow to resentment and you don't want that...just talk to him let him how you feel
