i want to start boxing???

wat do they do when you first go iv bin told they put you straight in the ring with the hardest out of your sex, and was told by a adult. how much does it cost to get started up?? please help

In my opinion, every gym is different, I've been to gyms all over the United States, Mexico, England and Thailand and at no point have I ever seen someone just starting out be thrown into the ring, no matter what sex you are.

Proper technique is usually shown the first couple of moths, stance, footwork and proper punching.

Go to USA Boxing.com and find a Gym in your area. Every gym dues are different ranging from $30 a month to as high as $50 dollars a month. Make sure that the gym you do decide to go to is a member or USA Boxing the governing body for amateur fighters, you'll have to get a boxing license to work out at all gym that are affiliated with USA Boxing and that will be $25 a year, your trainer will walk you through that process..

assuming its a good gym
They'll show you proper stance....how to move...and the basics on how to punch
You wont be put in the ring for at least the first month and if they do they aren't very reputable
