Well, the military does try to keep married active duty couples together. Even if you were both in the same branch, there is no guarantee. A lot depends on your respective career fields and how easy it will be to find a slot in the same (or nearby) base. Being in different branches is going to make it even more of a challenge.
Have you considered civil service? More and more positions have been civilianized. You would have the best of both worlds...being a civilian and working in the military with all the benefits. Then you could work on his installation. Just a thought.
Good luck to you

No, they don't station married people in different branches together. If you two were in the same branch like the Marine Corps, they try and station you within 50 miles of each other. It would be really hard for the military to station you two together because where there may be a naval base, there may not be a Marine Corps base. I have a Marine friend who's wife is in the Army. He's stationed in Southern California and she is stationed in Japan.

Unfortunately you do not get to choose your station. It's wherever the military needs whatever occupation you are assigned/trained in. You do have a slim hope however of being close. Norfolk, VA is the largest U.S. Navy base in North America. Also, if you join the Navy, go in with the understanding that 6months out of every year you will be deployed at sea whether there is a war or not.

The needs of the military always come first but they do make every effort to keep marrieds as close together as possible. Although the MC is considered part of the navy, it is a seperate branch of service so there might be a problem. Have you considered joining the MC instead? And consider that there will be sea duty in the Navy.

Spousal co Location is only a promise to TRY and station you within 300 miles of each other. it is easier when both are in the same Branch.
However, that being said.. there are LOTS of Marine and Navy bases that are in close proximity to one another. But you have topick arating that will be compatible with being statioend somehwere where you could end up near eachother.
Expect, howver, that you will each have to finish allof your schooling first, and expect that your Marine DF will have to be stationed somehwere for a PCS first. you cannot request Co Loaction while you are in school.. and that means you may end up far away form each other for years at first.

If you want your chances to increase then Go Navy and be a Corpsman. Marines have no medical fields so all the people in our clinics hospitals and companies are navy. If you go any other MOS it might be very hard to be with your husband. Or if not just join the Marines with him.

Yes and no. The armed services do everything in their power to keep couples together (especially when they are in seperate services-no one wants to be the bad guy). But, since he is in Quantico VA, they could station you in Norfolk, which is two-four hours away, if memory serves. Or, if they like you, they could PCS one of you to the others duty station, provided your Rating/MOS is needed there.

being in different services it might be difficult to be stationed together/near each other. if you become a corpsman (medic) you stand a chance of being stationed near him. usually being married you can't work together and boyfriend/girlfriend relationships in the work place are not allowed but i'm sure it happens still.

They will try to station you as close to him as they can as long as you are married. They will try but nothing's promised. I know someone who is in the AF and their spouse is in the Army and they stationed her in Korea on an AF base near an Army base.
