I know that people say God "created everything", but who/what created God?
And please, give me an answer besides "He created himself" or "He's always existed", because if you think about it, there is a beginning to everything - To this earth, to your life, AND that applies to God. And God could not have created himself, because he could not have had the conciousness to. I'm not saying that it's impossible that he did (he did supposedly create the universe, after all), but without him being in existance, he would not have the conciousness to think "Well, I'm gonna go create myself now.." That's a self-defeating statement.
I'm not bashing, I just want to know what people's take is on this.

"If God created everything, then who created God?" But even if we think that someone else created God, this still implies the existence of an ultimate cause So actually no one objects to the idea of some ultimate cause-neither the proponents of the empiric school nor the students of spiritual science. Admitting an ultimate cause, therefore, we must ask this basic question of creation: was that original cause conscious or inert?
If someone created God, that means He is not God but the one who created him. In other words, God is the ultimate cause of all causes, and the origin of everything.

Before we can answer this question, we need to look at another important question (or questions): Does God exist? If your answer is "no" then the answer to your question is quite simple. Nobody created God, because God does not exists, and if had been created, then he must exist...Can you follow me on that?
Ok...Now if one believe that God does exist, we must answer a second question: Is God Divine (meaning, is he greater than mortal man)? Is this God capable of creating the universe, life, photons, cherry slushies, and little plastic figurines of Jesus and the Saints that people put on the dashboards of theoir cars? If your answer is "No, God is just a variation of moratlity," then I muist agress it is Chuck Norris, and if not Chuck Norris, then the bearded guy who sells Oxy-clean on TV.
But if you believe that God is Divine, then my final answer is yet another question: "Why did God have to be created? Why can't God have always existed, and always will?" Remember, one has already admnited that God is not mortal, not material...so the "laws" that govern reality as we know it does not neccicerily apply.
Let's talk about the universe for a second...Who or what created the universe? Did stars, planets & galaxxies just pop into existance? Some say that it happened with the big bang? That ther was all of this dence mass of material that exploded, and due to theraml, gravitational, and nuclear forces, bodies formed, and eventually the universe took the shape that we know today. But where did that orgibal ball of energy and mass come from? We don't know...so your statement "if you think about it, there is a beginning to everything " isn't really true...we don't know if the universe had a beginning. We cannot find it, thus we don't know if there really ever was one. We think there might be one, but we don't know.
So, my answer is that no one really knows who created God, if God was created at all to begin with. I believe there is a God, who was always, and always will be. And I don't question that. It doesn't make any logical sense to me, but that does not mean it isn't possible. I tried teaching my dog physics the other day. I spent a whole day going over basic newtonian and quantum theory, using small words, and simple images. He still doesn't understand it. But just because that he connot understand physics, does it mean physics doesn't exist in his world?

Think about it this way. Who or what created the universe? If not God, then who or what? Or did the universe always exist? Either way, you end up with one of two possibilities:
1. Something has always existed (the universe or God).
2. There is an infinite regress of creative entities (God created universe, something created God, something created the something that created God, etc.).
Number 2 appears to be impossible to my finite mind. If something exists today, it appears to me that something had to exist ALWAYS. If there was a "time" where nothing existed, where did the matter and energy in the universe come from?
I really did not answer the question, but I am trying to point out that the concept of an eternal God creating the universe is no more logically problematic than saying that the universe is eternal, which I think people often assume. I do not see a way that humanity can ever definitively answer this question using only our limited knowledge and mental capabilities.

We created God, it is normal tendency for man to judge, control and punish, hence we created an image within of God who is doing all this, to us. Life is difficult and to cope with it we have to have something above us to blame and ask. By having an image of God life becomes easy.
Who created God??? Fear, weakness, control, power, sorrow, happiness and religions.

I think its a mystery!...If you say that men created God, then God is not really God, and everything we believe him to be its a lie, so He wouldn't ACTUALLY EXIST!....
i think nobody knows :) ...

God has always existed and is without beginning or end. It hard for finite creatures to comprehend. We are limited by time and God is not.
Look at a circle. Where is it's beginning? Where is it's end? It has none.
