Look at the various descriptions of a sociopath - detached, living for the moment, etc... This is a serious question - there are alarming similarities!

Where do sociopaths & enlightened Buddhists fall in the same category?
I think those are separate.....
I don't see similarities. Detachment with lack of compassion is sociopathy.
Detachment to results with peaceful acceptance is enlightenment.

Buddhism isn't about fulfilling your own self-concept, or as Western behavioral science calls it "ego". Buddhism is about learning wisdom and altruism.

Enlightened Buddhists may seem "kooky" and those on the path may seem "boring" to many people who don't understand what they/we're "up to", but like I've replied in another post, we're all empty of inherent existence.
